Maria Tallchief, an Osage Indian, became the first American prima ballerina to gain worldwide acclaim. Sandra Osawa’s 2007 documentary features clips from Tallchief’s performances in Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, The Firebird, and other ballets. Following the 57-minute film, Elise Paschen and Richard Christiansen will engage in conversation with the audience.
