As we celebrate Independence Day, grab some friends and family and head down to the Taste of Chicago for the spectacular free fireworks show on July 3 on the lakefront.  Things will get started at the Petrillo Music Shell  at 7:30 pm, when the the 85th Army Band will warm up the crowds with their harmonious sound.  Don’t forget to bring your radio to the free fireworks show, because the soundtrack is being simulcast on 101.9 THE MIX

Where to sit?  The show is centered on Grant Park, and good viewing can be had there and at museum campus to the south, but plan on large crowds.  Remember: use public transportation to avoid all the traffic.

We love the free fireworks display in Chicago but we sit up at North Avenue Beach to avoid the crowds.
