In their last game, After manager Ozzie Guillen expressed his frustration with the White Sox‘s poor display of fundamentals, Jose Contreras created a pleasant problem for the starting rotation. Contreras, in his first start since being promoted from Triple-A Charlotte, pitched eight innings of one-hit ball Monday night to lead the Sox to a 6-1 victory over the Detroit Tigers and a split of their doubleheader.
