There are still a couple of September free movie nights in the Chicago Park District’s annual free movie series, which takes place in more than 125 neighborhood parks and makes a great cheap date (just BYO picnic and blanket). Expect smaller crowds than you’ll find at the Outdoor Film Festival in Grant Park. This year’s free film lineup included “Kung Fu Panda,” “The Longshots” and “Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa.” Films start at dusk.
