– Regardless of the Chicago 2016 outcome, Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in Chicago and suburbs will toast us all with a FREE medium coffee all day, Monday, October 5.
“Of course, we all hope to be celebrating the 2016 Summer Games coming to our city, but win or lose, the free 14-ounce coffee is Dunkin’ Donuts’ way of saying thank you to Chicago for all the support and hard work in showcasing our city,” said Kathy Nowicki, field marketing manager for Dunkin’ Donuts. The free medium coffee is available all day, October 5, at all of the nearly 500 Dunkin’ Donuts locations in Chicago and suburbs. No purchase necessary and limit one per customer.
— Coca-Cola will distribute samplings from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Daley Plaza before Olympic medalists Shawn Johnson, Apolo Anton Ohno and other athletics, and business and civic leaders walk the red carpet at Harris Theater for an invite-only party at 7:15.
— If Chicago wins the Olympic contest, Niles-based American Science & Surplus stores (www.sciplus.com) will give away free Magic Flags of the World Placemats with every purchase of $10.00 or more. Say “CHICAGO 2016!” upon to get the placemat. Available through the end of the week or until they run out.
— Starfruit Café will give away free small Kefir frozen treats Friday at their stores (1745 W. Division and 2142 N. Halsted) in celebration of Chicago being up for hosting the 2016 Summer Olympics. Store hours are from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.
— The Chicago Sinfonietta will offer a free pair of tickets to season opener, West Meets East — taking place Monday at 7:30 p.m. at Symphony Center, 220 S. — Also, if Chicago gets the nod, Gibsons Steakhouse and Hugo’s Frog Bar will give out free sliders and treat Chicagoans to a performance by the Jesse White Tumblers, in the park just north of the restaurants, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday.
