Things to Do: Chicago History Museum has Free MLK Events

Looking for free ways to celebrate Martin Luther King Day on Jan 18 in Chicago?  Bring your family and children to the Chicago History Museum for a free celebration of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his messages of peace and justice. The free program begins at 10:30 a.m. with Dr. King, an Educated Man, presented by the Roots Theatre Ensemble. At 12:30 p.m., the Chicago Chamber Choir will perform Precious Lord: A Tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., followed by LaRoyce Hawkins re-enacting “I Have a Dream” at 1:45 p.m. Kids crafts activities will happen throughout the day.

Free; no reservations required.
