Looking to relive those fabulous 80s? Then come out and hear the FREE concerts by Dennis DeYoung (Styx), or maybe Starship, or Night Ranger, or American English (Beatles Tribute band), all of whom are playing at the Arlington Heights Frontier Days Festival from July 1-5, 2010. 
The annual Arlington Heights Frontier Days features the Taste of Arlington, carnival rides, live entertainment on three stages, Battle of the Bands, a crafts fair and parade.Located at Recreation Park, 500 E. Miner St., Arlington Heights. Free admission.
Frontier Days is open Thursday 5-11, Friday 5-12, Saturday noon to midnight, Sunday noon to midnight and Monday noon to 10:00 p.m.
Frontier Days is the Fourth of July Festival in Arlington Heights, Illinois, in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. The Independence Day celebration stretches over five days, beginning on Thursday, July 1 and running through Monday, July 5, 2010. Arlington Park hosts an Independence Day Fireworks at dusk on Saturday, July 3, 2010 at 9:30 pm.
The Festival features FREE entertainment on three stages; great food prepared and served by volunteers; many FREE family events and sports activities; a scholarship contest; carnival rides; and one of the largest Fourth of July Parades in the suburbs. One of the Festival’s highlights is the Citizen’s with Disability Day when the entire park is closed to everyone except people with special needs and their immediate families.

The festival parade will step off on Monday, July 5 at 10:00 a.m. The parade steps off from Dunton & Oakton Street and travels south on Dunton to Miner and then east to Recreation Park.
