Hollywood has taken over the Magnificent Mile
this weekend as filming of “Transformers 3″ is now underway on Michigan Avenue at Wacker. The street is blocked off between Wacker and Ontario and hundreds of spectators gather each day hoping to catch a glimpse of what will become an action-packed sequence when it hits the big screen. So far the action has included a fire burning on the stairs to the Riverwalk, and on the bridge, the remains of a charred shell of a car is smoking from what appears to be a major wreck. And just yards away, some 18 vehicles are involved in a pile-up.
The actors involved in the scenes being shot Friday are reportedly Shia LaBeouf, newcomer and Victoria’s Secret model Rosie Huntington Whitely, and Josh Duhamel. Lots of folks were hoping for a peek at the stars.Across the river, Wacker Drive offered a good front row seat.
When filming resumes Saturday and Sunday mornings, we’re told skydivers will be jumping from helicopters over Hubbard Street between Clark and State between 8:00a.m. and 10:00a.m. The helicopters and noisy effects — fireballs, gunfire, explosions – will be shot on Saturday and Sunday after 8 a.m.

I heard they were casting in chicago I know a lot of people that sent in a pic and even tried out for a part with no response. I’m wondering how many people from chicago are in this movie? (Cause them blocking the street off is a big inconvience lol joke)
