As child I often visited Puerto Rico with my grandmother. I remember being in Old San Juan, when I spotted a pink pair of ballet slippers. Mind you, I wasn’t into ballet, but as a little girl who wouldn’t want a pair? My grandmother refused to buy them for me. I rief to convince her I could learn. She didnt buy it, or the slippers.
