Free Museums in Chicago During 2014 Thanksgiving Week

It is almost 2014 Thanksgiving week in Chicago, and we are quite thankful for Chicago’s FREE museums, many of which offer free entrance this holiday week! Check out the free admission days in November 2014 at the Shedd Aquarium, Museum of Contemporary Art, DuSable Museum of African American Art, Smart Museum of Art at University of Chicago and the Chicago Children’s Museum!  Make sure to take in the FREE McDonalds Thanksgiving Day Parade in downtown Chicago — always a fan favorite

Check out the Free Museum Passes in Chicago  —  Out-of-state visitors may love visiting Chicago and continue to take advantage of great discounted admission offers that include special prices for seniors, children, educators, active-duty military personnel, museum members and others. Check individual museums’ websites for details. We also know that Chicago is home to a vital, vast and varied Theatre District where you can enjoy everything from traveling Broadway hits to experimental theatre to world premieres from up and coming Chicago theater companies.

Also maybe try this FREE Chicago money museum and check out what One Million Dollars looks like on this fun Chicago tour.  Slowly make your way through Millennium Park, an extraordinary testament and home to world-class art, music, architecture and landscape design.  Go south a block to Grant Park and marvel at the incredible water shows at the world-famous Buckingham Fountain.   Take your kids to the Chicago Children’s Museum, with three floors of engaging and educational exhibits.   Enjoy one of the world’s greatest art collections at the Art Institute of Chicago, especially when free on Thursday evenings.
