Free Lego Star Wars Toy at Toys R Us on May 6

Visit a Toys R Us store on Saturday, May 6th from 12-2PM for a FREE Lego Star Wars building event. Click here to find a location near you.

Update: Apparently, there’s a sign up form for the event and it is revealed on the page that the build will be a Micro Princess Leia. There’s a limited number of spots available for that day so sign up if you wish to attend. I’m not sure if the rules have changed and if walk-ups are accepted. I would call your store to confirm.

There’s now an image of the May 2017 LEGO Store Calendar and we can now see some of the promotions and events that will be happening during the month.

  • May 1: LEGO Star Wars UCS Snowspeeder (75144) available for purchase to general public.
  • May 2-3: VIP Monthly Mini Model Build will be a Race Car.
  • May 4: Special Star Wars in-store events. Complete a search & find activity to get some wearable Yoda ears. At 5pm, there will be a minifigure speed build challenge. The fastest builders will get a free minifigure. Registration may be required. Intended for ages 6-14 only.
  • May 4-7: As I reported, the LEGO Star Wars R2-D2 (30611) polybag will be the May the 4th promo. Instead of being a $75 Star Wars purchase, it’ll actually be a $50 purchase to get it.
  • May 4-7: Double VIP Points on all LEGO Star Wars items.
  • May 8-21: Free LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Mini Milano (30449) polybag with purchases of $35 or more, while supplies last.
  • May 13 & 14: Mother’s Day Weekend VIP Building Event. Registration is required. Call or sign up at the LEGO store starting April 1.
