FREE ADMISSION TO Adler-Planetarium-2017

Touch a piece of the Moon, Mars, a meteorite, and three different asteroids. Visit the Grainger Sky Theater with 360-degree visualizations, or check out the Atwood Sphere — the oldest large-scale mechanical planetarium built in Chicago in 1913, originally used to train pilots to navigate the nighttime sky. The Adler Planetarium in Chicago is a fascinating place, filled with daily programs, sky shows, exhibitions, and science activities; and much more out-of-this-world stuff. Study the planets, Moon, and stars; or one of the largest, most significant collections of scientific instruments in the world — rare books, works on paper, paintings, models, archives and more.
