Now in its 110th year, the Chicago Auto Show has nearly 1,000 different vehicles on display, and is a more laid back, informative show with manufacturers and dealerships showing off their latest models for the new model year as well as a glimpse of what’s to come. This year’s show has a few new things to reveal; but, for the most part, it’s all about the everyday bread and butter of the automotive world.  offers more than scoping out hot, luxury rides. Check out the virtual reality experiences and driving demos, or maybe gather some friends and partake of the Snapchat Scavenger Hunt.  Friday marks Telemundo Hispanic Heritage Day and Monday, Presidents’ Day (the show’s final day) caters specifically to families. $13, $7 for seniors and children ages 7-12 (6 and under are free). Check out the Empty Bottle Winter Block Party,  one of the few times the Bottle allows all ages to attend and features live performances from ADULT, with DJ Taye spinning records before and after sets, as well as B Boys, Thee Oh Sees and C.H.E.W.,  Enjoy some fo the chili outside, provided by the Bite Café next door will be serving up chili outside, with a portion of the proceeds going to Chicago Coalition for the Homeless. Go see the movie BLACK PANTHER —  With tons of interest already, this block buster opens this weekend. Set in Wakanda, a utopia of sorts, newly-crowned king T’Challa (a.k.a. Black Panther a.k.a. Boseman) is faced with defending his nation from arms dealer, Ulysses Klaue – and improving the lives of those he must serve. Rated PG-13; run-time, 2:20. Opens Friday., and features  Chadwick Boseman as the title character, Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, Michael B. Jordan and others.
