McCormick Tribune Ice Rink

It’s that time of year again, when The popular Ice Rink returns, with free skating and skate rentals available for a small fee. The rink hosts more than 100,000 skaters annually.


Lollapalooza is a three-day music and lifestyle festival set in downtown Chicagos Grant Park. More than 100 bands will perform on 8 stages with Chicagos skyline as the backdrop. In addition to music, Lollapalooza features Chicagos favorite foods, an interactive green area showcasing environmentally conscious tips and trends, a Kidzapalooza stage for the youngsters, and more.

Concerts in the Parks

Chicago comes alive this summer as the Chicago Park Districts Concerts in the Parks series fills citywide parks with the sweet sounds of dozens of outdoor music events from June through early September. Admission is free to all concerts. The Concerts in the Parks series brings a variety of musical genres including salsa, pop, big band and R&B, to various neighborhood parks for all residents to enjoy.

Free Fitness Weeks

Kick off the New Year in great shape by working out for free from Jan. 2-16 at any of the Chicago Park Districts 60 fitness centers located throughout the city.
