Over the last 2 years,  something cool has happened in the tech communication space –  twitter.  What is twitter you might ask?  Twitter is a free social networking site that allows you to that answer the question “What are you doing?” in 140 characters or less.  Users can update their page and read other peoples updates as well.  It’s basically a big chat room that gives you lightning fast information and a ton of ammo for water cooler conversations.

In April, 2009 we started to feed our articles to Twitter. And today we have lots of  people who signed up for it already. If you have not signed up for twitter yet, you can.  Free Things to Do in Chicago’s URL is : http://twitter.com/freechicago

So, here is what you can do:

1. If you are already on twitter, great! follow us and we will follow you. Also, if you are looking for people on twitter, check out twellow. It’s a directory for twittering people, searchable per category.

2. If you are not, join up- it’s easy, go to: https://twitter.com/signup, pick a username and password and it all goes from there. Making a profile and finding people to follow is pretty self-explanatory. If you become convinced of twitter’s usefulness, let us know and we’ll follow you.

3. If you are no twitter fan, keep reading our posts about Free Things to Do in Chicago and comment on whatever interests you, whatever you disagree with or makes you happy- that’s almost like twittering.
