See Anima in Free Chicago Concert Premiere at Millennium Park – May 31

Come and see the free concert premiere of “Living the Divine” –New York composer Daniel Brewbaker’s powerful story of hope, love, faith, and the beauty of nature that is brought to life at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion on May 31. This world premiere features Anima’s Touring Chorus, Susanne Mentzer, mezzo-soprano; Cynthia Yeh, principal percussionist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and William Buhr, acclaimed pianist.

Anima is a world class youth choral organization, founded in 1964, which is internationally renowned for the quality of choral education and performance it provides. Formerly the Glen Ellyn Children’s Chorus, Anima welcomes young people from Kindergarten through High School in various ensemble programs.


The heart and soul of the program is the extraordinary choral sound which is developed in a nurturing, communal atmosphere with a group of other young people who love to sing.
