NOW OPEN: Circus Zirkus
Step right up, boys and girls, to the world premiere of Circus Zirkus: Where You’re the Star of the Show! In CCM’s newest exhibit experience, kids get much more than a front-row seat. Whether you crave an audience, prefer being behind-the-scenes, or just love to clown around, there’s something for everyone at Circus Zirkus. In the busy backstage area, you can practice your tumbling, juggling and balancing skills, create a circus poster, swing on the Flying Trapeze and amaze on the Spinning Hoop. Then, it’s time to wow the crowd in the performance area as you spin Tricky Plates, swirl Twirling Balls, show off your dazzling costume and entertain as a wacky clown. Or, you can sell hot dogs and ice cream, staff the ticket booth and cheer from the bleachers. Circus Zirkus provides an abundance of props and apparel—including real clown shoes—for hours of imaginative play. Don’t miss the greatest show in Chicago! Circus Zirkus: Where You’re the Star of the Show is free with museum admission.
Chicago Children’s Museum is proud to partner with Kraft Foods to present Kraft Free Family Night, every Thursday evening from 5-8pm, when Illinois families can enjoy the entire museum free of charge.
