Free Admission to Chicago Museums on Labor Day Weekend – Sept 3-4

For you Museum lovers, the Labor Day weekend in September is coming up — and that means free admission to some Chicago museums as well as 150+ museums across the nation for Bank of America cardholders Sept 3-4. (click at bottom for more info) Bank of America’s national FREE program– “Museums on Us”– provides free admission to many museums on Sept 3-4. As part of the program, current Bank of America and Merrill Lynch debit and credit cardholders enjoy free admissions to many fine arts, cultural and education institutions throughout the nation on Sept 3-4, 2011. The Museums on Us program has been a popular perk for BofA customers, who can visit a participating institution free of charge on the first full weekend of every month, just by showing a Bank of America or Merrill Lynch debit or credit card along with photo identification.


Chicago Museums participating in this promotion and who will allow BofA customers in free the weekend of the month include:

The Art Institute of Chicago
The Chicago History Museum
The DuSable Museum of African American History
The Museum of Contemporary Art (not on Sunday though)
The Shedd Aquarium
Bank of America Expands the Museums on Us Program

Bank of America’s Museums on Us program in 2010 gave customers free access to 100 museums in 24 states and in 2011, Bank of America continues to expand the program. Now, there are 150+ museums in the program across 87 cities in 29 states. New additions to the Museums on Us program include the Hall of Science in New York, The Art Institute and Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, NASCAR Hall of Fame in North Carolina, the Orlando Museum of Art and Chabot Space & Science Center in California. Cardholders who present a Bank of America or Merrill Lynch debit or credit card along with a photo ID will be granted one free general admission. The program runs on the first full weekend of each month through December 3-4, 2011. Customers can also sign up for email and text message alerts as reminders to eligible weekends.  Thanks To Free Things to Do in Orlando for the reminder!
