Free Poetry Event in Chicago Area – April 30

Come out and enjoy this free poetry event in the Chicago area. Chicago native Jacob Saenz brings his unique brand of poetry to Oakton on Wednesday, April 30, at 6 p.m., at the College’s Footlik Theater, 1600 East Golf Road, Des Plaines. This free event is part of Oakton’s Chicago Writers Series.

 

Saenz, a CantoMundo Fellow, will read a selection of his poems. His works have been published in Great River Review,OCHO, Poetry, TriQuarerly, and other journals. A recipient of both a Letras Latinas Residency and a Ruth Lilly Poetry Fellowship, he currently serves as an associate editor for RHINO and works as an acquisitions assistant at the Columbia College library.
