Try the Navy Pier Free Trolley This Summer in Chicago

The Navy Pier free trolley operates Memorial Day through Labor Day and during select special events. The trolley operates between Navy Pier and State Street, traveling on Grand and Illinois, stopping at designated points along the route. Check back here for the most up-to-date trolley schedule.

Take Metra to Navy Pier

Navy Pier is easily accessible via train thanks to the Metra train lines. With numerous stations downtown and stops in most Chicago suburbs, this a great option for greater Chicago area residents. On weekends and holidays, up to 3 children under the age of 12 travel for free when accompanied by a fare-paying adult. CTA Buses that Go to Navy Pier

The CTA has seven bus lines that go directly to Navy Pier. All buses in Chicago are ADA accessible and run daily. Options to Navy Pier include: #29 State St, #65 Grand Ave, #66 Chicago Ave. and the #124 Navy Pier Express (serving METRA lines, Millennium Park/Randolph St., Ogilvie and Union Stations). During weekday rush hours, the #2 Hyde Park Express (stops running at 9:10pm), #120 Northwestern/Wacker Express (serving the Ogilvie Transportation Center), and the #121 Union/Wacker Express (serving Union Station) run every fifteen minutes from 9 a.m. to 12 a.m. throughout the summer and 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. the rest of the year.

 

 

 

Boats to Navy Pier

In the summer months,Shoreline Sightseeing operates several water taxis between Navy Pier and the Museum Campus. Daily shuttle service operates from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
