Come on out on Saturday and enjoy Family Fishing, Fly Tying & Tenkara Fly Fishing Classes at Northerly Island on October 8th —   Fishing equipment and bait provided at no cost; using Spincast Rod & Reel combos, hooks, weight, floats, jigs and lures. Tenkara fly rods. (A unique form of fly fishing.) Professional Instruction by Chicago’s Fish`N Kids Program Fishing Instructors. Learn how to fish Chicago’s Lagoons and our Lake Front Harbors. Learn how to rig the equipment we provide easily and simply, and begin to quickly catch fish.   Perfect for everyone ages 8 and up, 60 minute classes include in-class instruction and on-the-water fishing (weather permitting). Fish are not really hard to catch. You and your family can learn how we help 10,000 people per summer catch fish. Bring clothing for all kinds of weather; we fish in the rain and wind, hot or cool.   Parking is available in the Northerly Island Parking lot at the north end of the Nature Center Building (the old Meigs Field Airport Terminal) and costs $0.75 per hour before 9:00 AM and $1.75 per hour after 9:00 AM (anticipate up to $5.25 in parking fees).

No fishing license is needed when you are fishing with Chicago’s Fish`N Kids of the Chicago Park District.
