Come cheer on friends and runners at the Bank of America Chicago Marathon — On Sunday, October 9, 2016, more than 40,000 runners will be racing through the streets of Chicago, as they make their way to the finish line of one of the premier running events in the world. We encourage you to become part of this city wide event and join the spectators from around the world in cheering on the runners. It’s too late to enter this year’s race, but you can cheer on the athletes at locations all around the city, including popular spots like Chinatown, Lincoln Park and at the finish line in Grant Park. The inaugural Ear Taxi Festival this weekend celebrates contemporary classical music through 32 events running through the weekend and into next week at venues across the city, representing the work of 87 living composers, all of whom either live in the city or are strongly connected to it. While most of the concerts require a ticket, a few are free and open to the public.
