This Weekend in Chicago: Taste of Lincoln Avenue

Come enjoy the Taste of Lincoln Avenue  in Chicago, which is held on the last weekend in July, from Noon-to-10pm, both Saturday and Sunday – July 29-30, 2017. Located on Lincoln Avenue between Fullerton and Wrightwood, the event includes food and craft vendors, five entertainment stages, and a great FREE Kids’ Carnival Area (click at bottom for more info). There is a $10 suggested donation for the taste of Lincoln Avenue but the Kid’s Carnival is FREE.

The 34thth annual Taste of Lincoln Avenue fest offers two stage of live music, with acts paying tribute to Heart, Dave Matthews, Pink Floyd, the Beatles, the Who, Journey and Led Zeppelin, among others, plus a carnival for kids (noon-6 p.m. daily). Wine ($20) and whiskey tastings ($25) take place daily from 2-6 p.m. Food and drink vendors are on hand—with sausages and more..   The Taste began in 1984, as a way to help fund the WNA (Wrightwood Neighbors Association) organization, and to provide financial support for our local schools and organizations through grants. It began with crowds of 10,000 attendees, and has now grown to more than 50,000 visitors for the two-day event.
