This Weekend in Chicago : Wicker Park Fest

Hailed as Chicago’s “best street festival of the summer” by the Chicago Tribune, Wicker Park Fest takes place this weekend on Saturday, July 29 and Sunday, July 30, 2017.  (click at bottom for more info)    In addition to the highly regarded live music bill, Wicker Park Fest is a showcase of its’ diverse neighborhood. Historic yet hip, Chicago’s Wicker Park and Bucktown district offers a variety of lifestyle options, including distinctive art, acclaimed restaurants, family activities and a trendy fashion scene, all represented at the fest.   Above all else, Wicker Park Fest is known for the highest quality of live music. It’s become one of Chicago’s most highly anticipated music festivals of the summer . With three stages of live bands and DJs, there’s something for everyone, every genre.

 

We are so excited to get out and enjoy the annual Wicker Park Fest. Wicker Park Fest returns to Chicago July 29th and 30th from noon to 10pm., with three main stages, and two full rockin’ days.  It has one goal — to present the best in music, food, arts, kids entertainment, and shopping to our fair city. This is Wicker Park Fest. Welcome to the best weekend of your summer, with bands Guided by Voices,  The Mattson 2, Turquoise Jeep, SALES, Doomtree, GGOOLLDD (Saturday); and Pokey LaFarge, Charley Bliss, Piebald, JEFF The Brotherhood,  Slim Cessna’s Auto Club (Sunday), among others. An arts fest features local performers, artists and fashion shows; kids fest (noon-6 p.m. daily) includes live entertainment, games and inflatables. Food, drink and retail vendors round it out.

Your $10 donation benefits the local community: You love Wicker Park Fest! We ask for a $10 donation to keep the Fest going year after year, so help us keep bringing you the music, vendors, & experience you crave. Your gate donations are put towards yearly festival production by the Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce, a local nonprofit which works to increase the neighborhood’s visibility & viability with great events & programming that promote the local business community. The Chamber also partners with Burr Elementary, which receives 100% of ticket sales from activities in the Kids Fest area.
