Come on out this weekend for a FREE CONCERT. Logan Square’s multi-disciplinary art space Comfort Station is holding an all-day concert on Saturday September 30 from 1:00pm to 9:30pm, set beneath the nearby Illinois Centennial Monument. Enjoy free live music in the heart of Logan Square and support Comfort Station! Comfort Station returns to the Logan Square Monument for their summer fundraiser, with free live music all day, beer provided by Goose Island and more. Building off of their 2016 fundraiser with Tall Pat Records, the 2017 fundraiser aims to make this an annual event with a casual, open atmosphere (not a street festival!) and amazing music all in support of Comfort Station’s programming (which is always free). Produced by Empty Bottle and the newly-formed Big Star Records, the music lineup includes sets from local Americana band Quarter Mile Thunder, guitarist Ryley Walker, legendary rabbit-masked garage rocker Nobunny, and post-punk act Negative Scanner. The lineup will be fleshed out with additional acts in the coming week.
Admission to the concert is free, but attendees wishing to enjoy complimentary refreshments from Goose Island can make a $20 donation to Comfort Station to gain access to the event’s beer garden.
