A reminder to come on out and enjoy a FREE concert from The National at the House of Vans’ Chicago flagship location Oct. 30. (MAP) AS you most likely know, the National will be in town for a musical performance at the closing concert for the Obama Foundation Summit. The quintet announced its world tour in support of new album “Sleep Well Beast” in May, which includes two nights at the Civic Opera House Dec. 12 and 13.
Fans will have the opportunity to enter a lottery for tickets for the 7 p.m. set beginning on Thursday, Oct. 26 from 9 a.m. until midnight through House of Vans.Winners will be alerted Friday at noon — and will still be subject to the venue’s first come, first served policy upon arrival on Monday.
