Free Chicago Movies in the Parks – Summer 2018

Looking for an inexpensive, free activity with the loved ones in Chicago? Check out the Chicago’s 2018 Free Movies in The Park, where the Chicago Park District’s annual series takes place in more than 125 neighborhood parks and makes a great cheap date or family night (just BYO picnic and blanket). Films start at dusk.  Hollywood stars return to Chicago skies this summer, as Movies in the Parks brings big-screen entertainment to local parks for the eighteenth season.

The 18th annual Movies in the Parks series kicks off June 1, 2018 and features more than 250 outdoor screenings of current and classic movies in parks across the city.  Bring a picnic basket, blanket, and your friends and family and enjoy a movie in the parks.  All movies begin at dusk, weather permitting. There are lots of great free movies to choose from this year, with some all-time classics from the 80’s mixed in with great kid’s animated movies, and some recent releases: To find the full list of showings and locations, visit chicagoparkdistrict.com/movies-parks.
