With all of this cold weather in Chicago, we are beginning to think about the 105th annual FREE Chicago Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, which was announced will take place on Friday, Nov. 16, 2018 at 6pm in Millennium Park, at Washington Street and Michigan Avenue. Gather some friends and family and enjoy this holiday tradition, the lighting of a glittering tree set among Chicago’s sparkling skyline and the iconic art of Millennium Park.
The City of Chicago is proud to present the 105th Anniversary of the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, November 16. Chicago’s 105th Christmas Tree is still being identified. The ceremony will be emceed by actor Miguel Cervantes (Alexander Hamilton in Chicago’s “Hamilton”) with music and special guests along with a special appearance by Santa and Mrs. Claus. Admission to the Tree Lighting Ceremony and all other holiday activities in Millennium Park is free. The Christmas Tree will remain up until Sunday, January 6, 2019.
