Starbucks Secret Menu: Butterbeer Frappuccino
Starbucks now offers two “secret” Harry Potter drinks: the Butterbeer Latte and the Butterbeer Frappuccino. And as with most “secret” drinks, you just have to know how to order them. If you can’t make it to Hogsmeade (although we wish we could), so here’s the next best thing! Unfortunately, the act of ordering these is not exactly … magical. No, there are no spells. No code words. No solemnly swearing you are up to no good. Stop into your local Starbucks and order a Butterbeer Frappuccino! Just look at that drizzle. Witches, wizards and muggles are all welcome to try the Butterbeer Frappuccino!
Here’s the recipe (for a grande):
- Optional: Line cup with caramel drizzle
- Ask for a Creme Frappuccino base. Don’t skimp on the fat by asking for skim or 2% milk as whole milk is required for the right consistency
- Add 3 pumps of caramel syrup
- Add 3 pumps of toffee nut syrup
- Top with caramel drizzle
Adjust the recipe based on size or if you prefer a beverage that’s lighter on the sweetness.
Definitely a must try for any Harry Potter fan! So just order a Butterbeer Latte by asking for a Latte “with whole milk, caramel syrup, toffee nut syrup, and cinnamon dolce syrup.” And for the Butterbeer Frappuccino, you order a Crème Frappuccino “with caramel and toffee nut syrups, with caramel drizzle over the top.”
