Shedd Aquarium will offer Illinois residents FREE ADMISSION during the month of October. Shedd Aquarium is open and they look forward to welcoming all members and guests back. They have stringent measures in place to create a safe and enriching experience with the aquatic animal world. “The FREE days underscore Shedd’s commitment to allowing everyone an opportunity to come eye to eye with aquatic life – even despite the aquarium’s extended closure earlier this year,” Shedd Aqaurium said.
Illinois residents can visit for free on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays in October.
Shedd Aquarium adopted several preventative measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 such as limited capacity, mandatory face masks, hand sanitizer stations and timed entry to name a few.
You can few the complete list of safety precautions on Shedd’s website.
Adults must provide proof of residency in-person and there’ll be a $3 transaction fee on tickets reserved online. Shedd can’t guarantee free admission to those who don’t register in advance.
Visitors must book visits in advance on its website or over-the-phone at 312-939-2438.
